There is no way for me to explain how much I love this couple! They are truly a unique pair, and they compliment each other perfectly.  They are a joy to be around.  We first met Moky and Marisa when we were shooting their save the date film in July.  We had a lot of fun telling their love story, and I feel humbled that we were able to capture their special wedding.

Moky and Marisa’s day was nothing short of magical.  They were married at Park Cities Presbyterian Church in Dallas, TX.  The gorgeous church served as a lovely backdrop for their first look in their wedding film.  Family is very important to Moky and Marisa, and they were active participants in the wedding day.  Marisa’s sisters served as bridesmaids, and her brother gave a reading.  Her youngest two sisters sang a lovely duet during the ceremony.

The reception was at the Dallas Arboretum.  The Chihuly glass display perfectly complimented the distant Dallas skyline and White Rock Lake.  Marisa created the branding for her event, and used it throughout.  You can see her drawing the logo in the Save the Date film(see below.) In their wedding film, you can see one of my of my favorite uses of their wedding branding on the succulent party favors!

Jessica & Chris truly had the fairy tale wedding. They were married at a quaint church in Sherman, Texas (60 miles north of Dallas) that looked like it should be in a storybook.  As a loyal TCU girl, Jessica used purple throughout.  Jessica and Chris are the sweetest couple. I loved how much family meant to each of them, and how they were able to incorporate their love for family into the wedding.  A family member created all the beautiful flowers that were used in the ceremony and at the reception.  They were absolutely stunning.  He had to drive in from Oklahoma and was re-routed because of wild fires, but he wasn’t going to miss the big day!  Jessica cried tears of joy when she received her bouquet! The flowers at the reception were absolutely stunning.  I was lucky enough to bring a couple of bouquets home with me.

Another fun note, at the reception Super Frog made a surprise appearance.  It was so much fun, and he stayed and danced with the guests for the longest time.  This was a huge hit with the kids.

It seems like I am always so blessed to work with the best group of professionals in all of Dallas- Fort Worth!

October tends to be a very popular month to get married in Texas. Out goes the warm summer heat, and  we can enjoy being outside again!  Well, it was a little chillier than expected for Heather and Chris’s big day at Gleneagles Country Club in Plano, TX.  But the chilly weather did not stop us from having a ball filming their big day!  One of the coolest (pun not intended!) parts of the wedding was the GTO get-a-way car.  It belonged to Chris’s parents, and will hopefully be used for many future generations at their weddings.  We were really excited to use the GTO for the backdrop for the first look!  The family history of the car really complimented the love story.  Heather and Chris are a perfect match, and now they are a perfect family.

Heather, with the help of Wendy Kidd of Each and Every Detail in McKinney, TX , did an awesome job of making sure that the venue was flawlessly designed. I loved the fresh flowers used throughout and the royal blue accents.  One of my favorite details was the GTO groom cake. The food served at Gleneagles was also phenomenal, and if you didn’t get enough yummy cake by Tart Bakery, there was an ice cream sundae bar as well.  Children also had a ball at the wedding.  They were welcome to dance the night away with the adults, or they could retreat to the kid’s room that was complete with a special kid’s buffet and lots of activities. As always, we loved shooting alongside the very talented Katie & Chris Cassidy of Katie Cassidy Photography.

It is awesome when you have a great group of professionals who compliment each other so well.

This time of year we all receive pictures from our friends and family. Everyone is dressed in coordinating outfits and smiling perfectly at the camera.  However, you cannot see all the life, love, and laughter that went into getting that perfect shot.  I had the privilege of tagging along with Amy of Images of Grace photography while she created masterpieces for her family. Amy with Images of Grace is the best of the best when it comes to dallas photography. So, next time you receive a Christmas card with a beautiful family portrait, you will understand what went into capturing the moment. Enjoy the story behind the beautiful photographs.

Family films are meant to be a complement to photography.  It is very important to have your memories preserved, and there are multiple ways to do so.  There is nothing like a beautiful picture in a frame or on your wall.  However, what I love about family films is they are able to capture things that photographs cannot.  You can hear the way your children’s little voices sound, and they way your baby waddles as she tries to learn to walk.  Having a family film made is truly an investment in your memories.

Beautiful.  From the first time that I met sweet JoAnn I could tell that she was as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.  She has the perfect personality that immediately puts you at ease and makes you happy at the same time.   Kelly is equally as warm and loving. Kelly and JoAnn have known each other since med school, but they didn’t start dating until after they both randomly matched in Dallas for their residencies. From there it was all history. I know they will have a wonderful marriage full of many blessings.

The wedding took place at The Filter Building on White Rock Lake in Dallas, TX.  The wedding was what I would call elegant vintage.  They were married under an arbor with a beautiful chandelier from Rent My Dust Vintage Rentals.  The flowers were exquisite from Central Market.  Many of the flowers were arranged by JoAnn’s mother. At the end of the evening there were vintage suitcases full of coffee and cocoa for guests to take as parting gifts.

Family is very important to Kelly and JoAnn, playing a huge role in their wedding.  All of the nieces and nephews were the ring bearers and flower girls.  One of the sweetest moments in the wedding was when the little flower girls paused halfway down the aisle and wouldn’t go any further until she threw every single one of her rose petals on the ground.  Another touching moment was when JoAnn’s brother(and best man) sang for the happy couple.

Rain, rain, go away.  No bride ever wants rain on their wedding day, especially when an outdoor wedding is planned.  Rain never even crossed my mind for Kristin and Roby’s wedding given the drought we’d been having.  Kristin and Roby, however, would not let bad weather ruin their perfect day. Rain on your wedding day is good luck after all!  Everything was amazing, and Kristin and Roby had the best time with each other!

The Cotton Mill in McKinney, TX was completely transformed.  I especially loved the bud vases with flowers on each table, burlap,  and all the vintage decor.  They even had an old gas pump! Kristin’s bouquet was gorgeous, and she had charms wrapped around the stem to honor loved ones who had passed away.

The guests were having a ball at this wedding, and the dance floor was constantly packed.  Kristin and Roby even treated all their guests to a late night Whataburger treat!

Thank you so very much for choosing me for your wedding videography.  I knew from the moment that I met y’all that you were a very special couple, and it has been an honor to make your wedding film.  Please let me know when you have that first baby. I want to be there to see it baptized with the water from your wedding day.

I met with Marisa earlier this year to discuss her upcoming wedding and videography. I was so excited when Marisa mentioned to me that she was interested in doing a save the date film. I jumped at the chance to capture the story of their love. Moky and Marisa are as adorable as they come. I love how they compliment each other so well. We had a ball shooting this film, even though it was really hot. We actually had to start shooting before 6am to try to escape some of the Texas heat.

Moky & Marisa are getting married in Dallas, TX at Park Cities Presbyterian Church with a reception to follow at The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden.
